Children’s Hope currently cares for up to 52 children at our children’s home in Jacmel, Haiti. The children are housed in one of six cottages on our campus, under the loving care of their Haitian “nannies.” These precious boys and girls are placed with us by Haitian Social Services as orphans or due to situations of abandonment, abuse, or neglect where they have no other place to go. At Children’s Hope, they find a place of light, hope, love, and care! They become part of a safe and secure family, they know they are loved, and they know that they have value and purpose in the eyes of our loving Heavenly Father.
Beyond basic needs, the children are also enrolled in school, receive weekly tutoring, participate in a variety of special activities, and receive Biblical teaching and attend church regularly. The children are so full of love and life! It takes just a short time for visitors and team members to fall in love with them!
In addition to the cottages, our children’s home is also comprised of a director’s house, activities building, kitchen/dining hall, a basketball court, and a playground.
