Jared McCrory- Executive Director
Jared and his wife Sarah have spent most of their married lives in Montgomery, AL. After returning home from 5 years of working overseas in Pakistan, they came on board with Children’s Hope. Jared works with our excellent leadership team and Board of Directors to oversee our programs in Haiti and the U.S. He is passionate about connecting partners with the work of Children’s Hope, supporting and encouraging our team and staff as they serve with their best, mobilizing effective short-term mission teams to serve communities and make a difference in Haiti, and seeing the Lord work through the ministry of Children’s Hope as we partner with Haitian churches and pastors in disciple-making ministry. Jared and Sarah have two daughters- Ella and Lainey.
Frank & Jan Stevens- Community Ministry Directors
Frank and Jan Stevens have served as missionaries in Haiti since 2014 and will be joining the Children’s Hope team in Jacmel in August 2017. They have two children- Gabriel and Josie- and are from Montgomery, AL. They are extremely passionate about connecting with and serving the local Haitian community in a variety of ways- meeting needs, sharing Christ, building up the local church, and being catalysts for holistic change. The Stevens are our primary connectors with Haitian pastors, churches, and communities. They also plan for and host our mission teams and do a great job of facilitating difference-making work by our teams. We praise the Lord for these great new teammates!
Maria Peters- Haiti Site Director
Ken and Maria Peters became directors of the orphanage in Jacmel in January 2014. The Peters are from Canada but have much experience living and working in Haiti. They are fluent in Haitian Creole and have four adopted Haitian children. They worked in previous orphanages and have learned much about the Haitian culture through their experience and relationships. They are well suited for their positions in that Ken graduated from Columbia Bible College with a Bachelors of Arts in Youth Work and has varied experience working with children as a youth pastor, counselor, and mental health worker. Maria graduated from Peace River Bible Institute in Christian Studies and then obtained an RN degree. They work very well with the children and staff as well as others in the community. Our children and other programs are thriving under their leadership.
