Many of you have asked about what kind of service/funeral did CH have for Loubens. I want to share an email from Maria about the funeral that was held Thursday, Nov. 6. We are grateful for a staff (both North American and Haitian) that cared so much about this precious little boy! See Maria’s summary of the service below:
We had a lovely funeral for Loubens yesterday. Nicolas shared the message, Pastor Paul and Pastor Bichotte both said prayers and benedictions, Bertrand read from the Bible, Henri did the biography, Sofoni led the singing (nicolas friend because it’s inappropriate for a woman to participate in funerals). Nicolas shared from 2 Samuel 12:16-23 which was so fitting. His message was encouraging and well thought out.
It was amazing how all the staff pulled together. All the guards came in uniform to help guide people and be there; they also carried the casket without any of that being arranged ahead of time. IBESR came (loudmy and junior), Miss Sanon (nurse) came, all the clinic staff was there. Members of our community came just for support.
